If I move a shared folder from Onedrive to something like Onedrive / Test Folder, the sharing breaks. It seems like all shared folders must live in the top Onedrive folder. I can still collaborate with other users on that shared folder. If I move that folder to a different folder in my iCloud Drive it's like nothing changed other than where the folder sits on my computer. I've been using iCloud Drive sharing - it seems like in iCloud you can move a shared folder from the root iCloud directory in the Finder to anywhere else in your iCloud drive and it will maintain the share.įor example, if someone shares a folder with me it will appear in my iCloud Drive folder after accepting the invite. I was curious about how shared folders work in Onedrive (personal).
